Fresh In Yumi Print!

AW2012 is set to be awash with prints, many catwalk designers and high street retailers have shunned the usual experimentation of textures for prints this Winter. Every girl should own a special print jumper, blouse or dress, so look no further than Room31!

A good print can be figure enhancing, a veil for any flaws and also stacks of fun! Think outside of the box with the print of your choice and go for layers. Print jumpers look great with a waistcoat or a fabulous leather biker jacket, and don't forget to add a scarf too!

At Room31 we have brand new print and knitwear designs lovingly created by Yumi.

Yumi are a cutting edge, fashion forward brand that just love to have fun with kitschy cute prints.

Owl print has been in abundance on the catwalks and on the high street including Burberry Prorsum's Autumn/Winter 2012 collection

Celebrity fans include Kate Bosworth, who paired her Burberry owl sweater with a pencil skirt and ankle boots

I just love the  Enid Owl Print Sweater and Hayley Owl Print Dress - what could be cuter?

If you prefer to layer your look then keep the base simple, your fave vest or tee and team with your trusted pair of denims, the cardigan will do all the talkin'! If you're a ' wrap it up ' kind of gal then you'll love the Poonam Glasses Print Cardigan.
This cute cardi was recently featured in Look magazine!

Prints can be so ladylike too, combine the print with gorgeous tailoring and Peter Pan collar and you've got the perfect mix.

This royal blue Yumi number was recently seen on the catwalk at Liverpool Fashion LIVE

Grab your Mary Jane heels or toughen the look with biker boots for the wow factor.

Room31.co.uk attends launch of Scouse Boutique

The stars of Desperate Scousewives hit headlines last week when the ‘scouse look’ was sensationally banned from the Liverpool Fashion Week catwalk! So when the Room31.co.uk fashion team received an invitation to attend the launch of the new Scouse Boutique we couldn’t wait to see what all the fuss was about.

Room31.co.uk are proud to be sponsoring Liverpool Fashion Live which is bringing LIVE fashion LIVE music and LIVE dancing to Liverpool on 18th October which happens to be the same week as Liverpool Fashion Week. LFL is allowing the people of Liverpool to decide who is a style/fashion icon.

It was all about big eyelashes, big hair and even bigger fashion as Liverpool’s Palm Sugar Lounge opened its doors to supporters of Amanda Harrington, Debbie O’Toole and Gill O’Toole’s new business venture last Thursday.
Love them or hate them you can’t deny the Scousewives girls know how to put on a party! Scouse Boutique is described by its owners as a ‘one stop shop packed full of new and exclusive fashion ranges to suit all ages and budgets.’  Clearly it isn’t to everyone’s taste however the ‘scouse look’ is part of the Liverpudlian culture according to the Desperate Scousewives stars.
The event was attended by a host of celebs including ex-TOWIE star Maria Fowler and XFactor finalists Marcus Collins, James Michael and 2Shoes .
Maria brought a touch of Essex to the North in a backless, diamante encrusted dress in a summery aqua blue.  The reality TV star apparently had a run in with Marcus Collins on the night- but we were too busy enjoying the cocktails, tiny dogs and funny scouse slogan t-shirts to notice.

Our amazing friends over at Love Umbrellas were also featured on the catwalk as they have designed a unique collection for the boutique.

Jodie Lundstram and sister Keely, who both opted for a cool rock chick look, were also there to support their fellow DS stars. Jodie also told us that she’s currently launching a new make up line.....we love gossip!
All in all we had a fab time partying with the scousers and their sense of style is definitely like no other.
According to the Daily Mail; “Organiser of Liverpool Fashion Week Amanda Moss slammed the made-up appearance, branding it intimidating and downmarket and not appropriate for a high-fashion setting, the 40-year old mother of five stated that models emulating the ‘Scouse’ look will not be allowed on the runway this Autumn, she told MailOnline: I’m banning Scouse brows, fake tan and lashes. Moss who has previously recruited the likes of Kerry Katona and Hollyoaks actress Jennifer Metcalfe for her event, added: ‘It’s my show I can do whatever I like. I do a lot for the community and Liverpool, I’ve built up this event with support over four years and I’m not going to see it ruined. Desperate Scousewives hasn’t done Liverpool Fashion Week any favours and it’s made it difficult to be taken seriously”
The debate continues........ Let us know what you think.
