Our First Warehouse Event!

At the beginning of August we decided to open our warehouse up to the public for the first time!

It took a lot of hard work, time, energy & chocolate biscuits but thanks to an amazing team we got our usual health & safety nightmare of a warehouse into an acceptable customer friendly environment.

Customers took advantage of up to 90% off branded sportswear & fashion including adidas, Nike, Reebok, Vans, Converse, Fat Face, Vero Moda, Asics & many more!

We had lots of feedback at the event as well as feedback via social media since, here are a few pics of customers bargains!

Royal Ascot Fashion

Royal Ascot 2013 has arrived and as ever the fashion stakes are high.

Women compete to look the most stylish, unique and classy some pull this off with a hefty price tag others on a budget.

What do you think of this years and previous years Royal Ascot atendees?

Last year the racecourse published a new set of guidelines advising visitors what they could and could not wear, which included bans on fascinators in the Royal Enclosure and strapless dresses.

Want to know what some of these guidelines are?

Royal Enclosure – women

Dresses and skirts should be of a modest length, defined as falling just above the knee or longer

Straps should be one inch wide or greater

Jackets and pashminas may be worn

Trouser suits are welcome. They should be full length and of matching material and colour.

Hats should be worn. A headpiece which has a base of four inches or more in diameter is acceptable. No fascinators.

Midriffs should be covered.

Strapless, off the shoulder, halterneck and spaghetti straps are not permitted.

These regulations still haven't stopped us girls from looking amazing...even if some hats are a bit whacky!!

Behind the Scenes at Room31 HQ

Us girls always want to know what it is like to work in the fashion industry, whether it's as a buyer, photographer, graphic designer, manager, stylist, etc.

Everyday can be so different, some days its manic with girls all over the place, with make up, hair accessories and clothing ready for a photoshoot.....

.....other days it can be chilled with plenty of photo editing to be done.

So here at Room31 we want to give you a sneaky peak at what its like to work in the fashion industry.

Photography

Photography plays such an important role at Room31, whether its using a model or a mannequin, every detail counts.

Below are a few peeks at our photography studio and prep/styling room (This is on a very quiet day!) 

Editing

After busy photoshoots our design team go through all images to edit and get ready for all forms of media such as website banners, newsletters, social media, leaflets, etc.

Picking & Packing

Everyday is a busy day in our warehouse with UK and worldwide orders leaving the building everyday...from the item being picked, to being wrapped in pink tissue paper to then being put into a pink bag and posted to you.....love, thought and care is put into that process.

Men!

Girls....if you think we have plenty of hot, buff, lush men walking around and modelling for us then think again!! If only there was....this is as good as it gets.....

Our male mannequin - named 2 years ago as "John"

He's still single, likes walks in the park, picnics, films, likes to show off his body, likes ice cream and one day hopes to own a Porsche!

Nice body John!

Trend: Monochrome

Monochrome - it's this season's word

This minimalist trend was all over the runways including Gucci, Marc Jacobs and Roland Mouret

Simple patterns such as graphic prints, stripes and contrasting seams allow this trend to move easily from day to night

Tulisa opted for a bodycon dress and retro accessories on a recent trip to Nobu restaurant
