My Holiday Suitcase!

Only 3 sleeps to go & I'm off to Lara Beach in Turkey with my other half and my step children Jacob (15) and Olivia (13)

My original plan when booking the holiday was to lose a few stone & drop a couple of dress sizes; however my love of food and wine have been greater than my desire to be a size zero! And no-where seems to sell swimwear that makes you look 3 sizes smaller!

Here is (some of) what I've packed for our 7 night family holiday

Firstly I LOVE shoes! probably because they always fit but I've always had an obsession with shoes and when I was growing up until I was in my late 20s wanted a shoe shop; simply called Ruth's Shoes! Here are a few of the pairs I'm packing!

River Island jelly shoes from eBay £9.99

Another favourite for my holiday is maxi dresses including this galazy print favourite from Simply Be

I am a huge fan of leopard print and this maxi from Dorothy Perkins has served me well all season, from hen parties to family BBQs

I've really struggled this year to find swimwear that I will feel comfortable and secure in! But I am loving this 50's floral print one from ASOS and as well as feeling secure in it I also don't feel as self concsious as I would in the usual tie-side bikini bottoms that seem to be in every shop I've visited recently

My Room31 bargain sunglasses have been sat on, thrown in my handbag and in the footwell of my car & are still scratch free so they will be coming with me too!

Every year I get a new 'family bag' - you know the one where the mother carries EVERYTHING for the whole duration of the trip! I am a bit of a control freak though so am happy to be in charge of everyone's passports/tickets etc.
This year's chosen 'family bag' is this super gorgeous & large one from Monsoon

What are your holiday must-haves?

I will be sure to share some holiday photos with you but don't worry I will not be including any in my swimwear!!

Happy holidays!

Wednesday Wishlist

When it comes to online shopping....I just want everything!

I get to Wednesday and get a mad rush on to grab items for the weekend.

My wishlist for this wednesday features my most wanted items this week.

Maxi Must-Have

With the weather getting milder apart from the odd day now and then I start thinking about midi dresses and this week I stumbled across this lovely maxi from Topshop.
With its gorgeous pattern and colours how can you say no.

Even better girls its in the sale here for ONLY £15!

iPhone accessories

When it comes to accessories, Ted Baker know how to appeal to us girls.
with pretty colours and girly bows.
I have just come across this fab, cute and girly iphone case but with most websites now sold out its a mad rush to get one!

Get your hands on one here now in the sale for £20.30

Dreaming of sun, beaches, sand....

Right now you might just be like me....no holidays booked (just yet) but dreaming and itching to get away, relax on the beach, enjoy the sun & get in a cooling pool.
I keep finding myself holiday shopping!
For me a bikini or swimming costume is an important statement piece.
Here are a few of my favourites...yes some are a bit crazy!

I absolutely love this bikini set from George at Asda and at an amazing £12 I'd say I've just fallen in love with it a little bit more. Get it here
Missguided have not been shy with their recent collection of swimming costumes AND I have to say I LOVE THEM!
Taking me back to my childhood days of party rings makes me feel young again!
Swimming costumes at Missguided start from £14.99...for that price you may aswell treat yourself to a couple of them.

Crazy they may seem but you can't help but LOVE them!
Available here from Missguided

Bag Crush

I'd never really paid much attention to the Kardashian Kollection at Dorothy Perkins until I spotted this fringed tan bag.
I love fringed bags, they have that summery, festival feel to them.

Here is the bag in question....available here to buy for £40.

With pay day on its way its time to get shopping.

WEEKEND WISHLIST

Here are a few of my favourite things!

I'm off on a girlie holiday next Thursday and these are (some) of the items I'm lusting after & hoping to find room in my suitcase for!

This Dorothy Perkins lightweight kimono is perfect for throwing on over a bikini

Maxi dresses are a holiday must-have, taking us from the beach to the bar and this one from Marks and Spencer is a bargain at £21

Working at Room31 obviously has it's benefits and these 2 must-have acessories will be coming in my suitcase too! Love the neon and metallic necklace and the baroque sunnies

Also lusting after this mutli-coloured necklace from our friends over at School Gate Style (the lovely Avril has opened a wee shop don't you know!)

I haven't ventured into H&M in a while but am loving this paper straw bag from there at the bargain price of £9.99

So that just leaves swimwear to hunt for - I'm looking for a swimsuit or bikini that will make me drop 2 dresses sizes ideally  - any suggestions?!

Happy shopping
