Room31's owner Ruth wins an award!

The owner of a Risley based fashion retailer has been getting some business tips from Dragon’s Den star Theo Paphitis.

Ruth Thomas, founder of www.room31.co.uk, met the retail mogul at a special event in Birmingham after her business won his famous SBS business award.

The Small Business Sunday competition is run by Theo each Sunday evening on Twitter. He invites small businesses to tweet him details of their business and he then picks out the top six entries and retweets them to his 180,000 followers.

Room31 won the award in November giving them a golden ticket to the first SBS event! The event was held at Edgbaston Stadium on Friday and hosted by Theo himself and supported by Ryman.
As well as joining in a group question and answer session, being presented with a certificate for her winning Small Business Sunday; Ruth was interviewed for a pilot TV programme focusing on the successes of small businesses.

Room31 started life on a market stall in Lancashire only 18 months ago and has quickly grown into a busy and popular online store known for its affordable, on-trend, celebrity inspired clothing and accessories. It now employs 6 local passionate staff.
